Animade for Bromley By Bow Centre success!

September 23, 2010

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the Animade for BBBC auction a great success. It was brilliant that so many of you came to witness my premier as an auctioneer. I was a bit nervous (and a little hungover) but I had a great time and could not have done it without you. So, thank you!

Also, for anyone who was not able to attend or who was out bid at the auction, there are a limited run of A3 silkscreen prints of the best of the bunch available to buy, as well as Pandamonium rockstarimus (front and rear view) badges. An online shop is in the making…watch this space. In the meantime – please feel free to email me. x

Craft Rally

March 23, 2010

Thursday is Craft Rally presented by the Crafts Council at Chelsea College of Art and Design and I can’t wait! I am thrilled to help Helen Carnac with a whole day dedicated to making, networking, cake, discussing ideas about the future of craft.

Did I mention the cake? Leaving the house at 7am will be well worth it!

animade.org

March 2, 2010

The sun is shining, and ANIMADE is celebrating the announcement of our new website – www.animade.org

We are only in the BETA stage so far, but will be sure to let you know when we have lift-off.

Other news…Mademoiselle Coulais and the ANIMADE team are working hard to complete the much anticipated ANIMADE for Asylum Aid catalogues. They are going to be fabulous, darling, and we promise you will see them soon.

For anyone who has not been and is looking for some inspiration – the Natural History Museum’s Darwin Cocoon is a new favourite, as it offers an unique  example of massive concrete structures (for any architecture geeks), and a chance to view real scientists doing actual science – with pipettes and petre dishes (for an entirely different breed of geek). If you are like the super-geeks here at ANIMADE, you will probably enjoy both.

Ticare has found a home!

January 29, 2010

'moving on up...moving on out...time to break free...nothing can stop her!'

Ticare has been adopted by the animal rescuer and coffee-loving Jessica.  This lucky little tiger has her sights set high and is putting her right paw forward as she heads off into the big wide world. We are so happy for her and cannot wait to see her out on the town.

ANIMADE for Asylum Aid – success!

January 25, 2010

Hello ANI-MADE friends! We have nearly made it through January and it is about time that photos from ANI-MADE for Asylum Aid make their way to the inter-web. Thank you to everyone who attended the ANI-MADE workshops and to all of you who decided to take home your very own ANI-MADE. The exhibition at Tina, We Salute You was a great success and nearly all the ANI-MADE creatures have been adopted.

Ticare and Unice are still looking for a home…

'Take me home...country road...to the place...where I belong!'

'Do do do do...la la la la...take me home...country road!'
